Jubilee cycles from DSS Records

In this post I would like to show in more detail how the 6 cycles of Jubilee years in the Dead Sea Scrolls WITNESS to the 6 years of Priestly Courses. In the DSS the six years of Priestly courses rotate within the 6 cycles of Jubilee years. In the DSS we have the Jubilee cycles listed as 2-7. This reason of numbering is unknown but there are still only 6 cycles just as there are 6 years of Priestly courses.

The 1st year of Priestly Courses always starts with Gamul, and the 1st Jubilee Cycle, #2 also starts with Gamul.

The 2nd year of Priestly Courses always starts with Jedaiah and the 2nd Jubilee cycle, #3 also starts with Jedaiah.

The 3rd year of Priestly Courses always starts with Miyamin and the 3rd Jubilee cycle, #4 also starts with Miyamin.

The 4th year of Priestly Courses always starts with Shecaniah and the 4th Jubilee cycle, #5

also starts with Shecaniah.

The 5th year of Priestly Courses always starts with Yeshebeab and the 5th Jubilee cycle, #6 also starts with Yeshebeab.

The 6th year of Priestly Courses always starts with Aphses and the 6th Jubilee cycle, #7 also starts with Aphses.

After the 6 cycles of Jubilee cycles are complete, they start the same cycle over again just as the 6-year Priestly courses. 2-7 Jubilee cycles and 1-6 years of Priestly courses.

This is one complete cycle rotating within the other cycle unbroken for each of the 294 year cycles. We can know this is true because of the rotation of the 24 Priest chosen by King David that match the rotation of the Priestly Courses listed in the DSS.

To add any more years, priestly courses, or any other pattern of intercalation would disrupt the order of years, priestly order and Jubilee cycles.
